ANTIHORMONE STUDIES IN BOYS TREATED WITH ANTERIOR PITUITARY-LIKE HORMONE FOR GENITAL UNDERDEVELOPMENT

Abstract
A group of 19 boys received treatment with 1 or more of 4 commercial brands of APL. In the 20 specimens of sera taken, no antihormone was found, either at the end of treatment or, in 2 cases, 21 to 24 mos. later. The lag in development under treatment in some cases was overcome by increased dosage. Failure of complete descent of the testes was probably due to mechanical obstruction.
