An empirical analysis of Palmore's facts on aging quiz and the miller?dodder revision

Abstract
This paper focuses on an empirical evaluation of Palmore's Facts on Aging Quiz and the recent revision by Miller and Dodder. The two measures were compared, using similar samples of college students at a large southwestern university. The extent of knowledge which subjects had about aging, as indexed by each instrument, was found to relate differently to several accepted measures of knowledge. Although the Miller‐Dodder scale displayed stronger correlations with knowledge measures, neither the FAQ nor the Miller‐Dodder revision correlated impressively with measures of knowledge.
