Abstract
Experimental results have demonstrated that the optical properties of clean liquid aluminum resemble those of the solid. This paper demonstrates that the optical properties are accurately described by the Ashcroft-Sturm model. The Ashcroft-Sturm parameters that fit the optical property results indicate a large relaxation time for both the free-carrier and parallel-band absorptions. Keywords
