Abstract
A method of obtaining impressions of the hard surfaces of seeds and other parts of fruits has been developed to detect microscopic details for the accurate identification of related spp. Seeds dipped in carbitol acetate were clamped between transparent celluloseacetate films with suitable padding and heated in an oven at 90[degree]C for 5 min. After cooling the impressions were mounted face down on glass slides by means of adhesive film.
