Abstract
This paper is an attempt to report on some work in progress in relation to my experiences as a supervisor of action research projects. I presented some early ideas at the Collaborative Action Research Network conference at Nottingham Trent University and was encouraged by the interest shown by those present and in conversations and correspondence over subsequent months. What follows is an attempt to communicate some of my developing ideas, particularly those relating to the theme of values. Keywords
