Abstract
Conditions influencing development of colour in the alkaline phenol/hypochlorite method for determination of ammonia are discussed. The reaction is applied to the determination of nitrogen in digests of feed and faeces samples, using the AutoAnalyzer * AutoAnalyzer, an instrumental system for automatic chemical analysis, Techni(on Instruments Corporation, Research Park, Chauncey, New York. View all notes . Results agree closely with those obtained by distillation and titration. Keywords
