Abstract
What are the causes of the current wave of consumer unrest? What are the goals of consumer protest groups? How are they organized? Who supports them? In this article, the consumer movement of the 1960s is examined and comparisons made with the consumer movements of the early 1900s and the 1930s. The analysis suggests new answers to the questions raised and a basis for predicting the future course of consumerism.Keywords
