Abstract
A general introduction to current organic photochemical research is presented. A limited survey of typical organic photochemical reactions, with an emphasis on recent studies, is given. Reactions of the n-pi* and pi-pi* type are included. Some new thoughts are included; among these is the relation of Möbius strip geometry to organic photochemistry. Keywords
