Abstract
The SU(3) Regge-pole theory, applied to πN and KN interactions, is reinvestigated. With the simple constraints provided by the SU(3) relations on the scattering amplitudes, the relation among the πN and KN charge-exchange differential cross sections is found to be dσdt(KpK¯0n)+dσdt(K+nK0p)|same E, t=dσdt(πpπ0n)+3F02dσdt(πpη0n)|same E, t, where F0=1 for the exact SU(3). However, F0 can be allowed to deviate from 1, and on the basis of the fit to the experimental data, we find that F0 is not far away from 1. From the above relation, a prediction for K+nK0p is possible in a straightforward way.
