Abstract
Scattering of protons and neutrons by carbon at small angles is discussed. It is shown that it is not possible to obtain a coherent understanding of the scattering at 310 Mev without including an increase of the radius due to nuclear forces. The increase required is in rough agreement with that calculated from nucleon-nucleon scattering. Keywords
