Abstract
The fatigue crack growth-rate behavior of Zircaloy-2 was determined at room temperature for three material conditions: annealed, hydrided annealed, and 35% cold-worked. The crack growth behavior was found to obey the “power law” of crack propagation. Usage of the data is discussed, and a hypothetical example for estimating the fatigue life of a flawed component is given. Keywords
