Intrinsic Charm Contribution to High-p_T ψProduction at the Fermilab Tevatron

Abstract

We revisit the direct production of J/\psi(\psi') at large transverse momentum, p_T \gg M_{J/\psi}, at the Fermilab Tevatron. It is found that the sea parton participating processes dominate in the high-p_T region within the framework of color-singlet model, which is not widely realized. We hope this finding may be enlightening for further investigations of the charmonium production mechanism.
