Abstract
Brachial block anesthesia was induced via the interscalene route in ninety of ninety-eight patients in whom it was attempted. The patients, aged four to ninety-one, for the most part had fractures of the forearm or arm, but some had dislocations of the shoulder, and no complications were encountered. The method was not effective for hand problems, since the ulnar nerve tends to be spared. Keywords
