Abstract
Specific antibodies to ovine prolactin were produced in rabbits. The antisera were conjugated to fluorescein isothiocyanate and "purified" by column chromatography. Antibodies, thus labelled, were applied to fresh-frozen sections of pigeon pituitary glands. Fluorescence was observed in specific cells of the cephalic lobe. After staining, these cells were identified as the erythrosinophilic eta cells. Keywords
