A Revision of Phacelia Sect. Euglypta

Abstract
Phacelia sect. Englypta consists of 12 spp. and 2 vars., 11 spp. in western N. America and 1 in S. America. The sect. contains all the spp. of Phacelia in which the seeds are transversely wrinkled or corrugated and the corollas are early deciduous. The spp. are closely related and are frequently separable only by technical characters. Several spp. that have usually been treated in subspecific categories or placed in synonymy have been given specific recognition. Included are P. affinis var. patens (Calif.) and P. ivesiana var. pediculoides (Nev.).
