Abstract
A fly-transmitted pleomorphic strain of Trypanosoma rhodesiense was found to be highly resistant to pentamidine, Ethidium and Antrycide, compared to a syringe-passaged monomorphic strain. Both strains were equally sensitive to pentavalent arsenicals and suramin. The results are discussed in terms of the possible occurrence of extravascular intracellular forms in the pleomorphic infection. Keywords
