Abstract
An immature stage of Contracaecum sp. commonly infects shrimps in marine and brackish waters of the southeastern United States, the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Coast of El Salvador. The location of the worms in the hosts and the frequency of their occurrence is given. The definitive host appears to be a fish (es). Evidence is given to suggest that the species involved is probably C. habena. One specimen each of 2 unidentified sp. of juvenile nematodes are also reported. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
