Comparative Measurements of Temperature in Liver, Lung, and Rectum of the Rabbit.

Abstract
The temp, of rabbits'' liver and of lung was measured by inserting thermocouples into the parenchyma of these organs; the rectal temp, by a Hg thermometer. In 7 normothermic rabbits the liver temp, was consistently higher than either the lung or rectal temps. The lung temp, was usually higher than the rectal. The mean differences were as follows: The liver 0.18[degree]C higher than the lung; the liver was 0.29t higher than the rectal temp.; and the lung O.11[degree]C higher than the rectal temp.
