The Value of the Electromagnetic Flow Probe in Experimental and Clinical Microvascular Anastomosis

Abstract
The Gould Statham blood flowmeter Model SP 2204 was used to assess microanastomosis in 25 rabbit superficial femoral arteries. A pulsatile wave form correlated with a satisfactory anastomosis. This instrument''s digital read-out of estimated volume flow past the anastomosis needs further evaluation. The electromagnetic flow probe is being used to assess clinical microvascular anastomoses at operation.
