Abstract
VELO-CARDIO-FACIAL syndrome (VCFS), also known as DiGeorge or Shprintzen syndrome, is associated with small interstitial deletions of chromosome 22q11 in 80% to 85% of individuals.1 It was first described by Shprintzen et al2 and has an estimated prevalence of 1 in 4000 births.3
