Abstract
The authors report on RF online monitoring techniques used in a petrochemical environment to determine the health of stator insulation of large high-voltage critical motors and generators. Information is given on broadband RF detection devices used and the interpretation approach adopted. The sensitivity problems of the technique as well as its potential are illustrated by the presentation of selected test results. Keywords
