Abstract
The mineral content of bone may be affected by age, disease or drugs, which can be demonstrated by various radiologic procedures; the narrow beam gamma attenuation (Cameron & Sorenson 1963) is the most accurate and perhaps the most used procedure (Cameron et coll. 1968). The recognition of abnormal bone mineral content presupposes an adequate knowledge of the normal conditions, including the normal range (Goldsmith 1973, Goldsmith et coll. 1973, Mazess — Cameron 1973, Boyd et coll. 1974, von Roth et coll. 1974).Keywords
