Abstract
Summary: The foregoing experiments show: That rat uteri, which are unaffected by ordinary doses of histamine, respond to some substance released by sensitized guinea-pig lung-tissue during anaphylactic shock. That sensitized circular and longitudinal uterine muscle from pregnant guinea pigs readily shows anaphylaxis and that the latter are just as sensitive and show a more severe type of reaction than virgin uterine muscle. That tissues, particularly intestinal, taken from 7 to 8 week foetuses of sensitized mothers, show a hypersensitive condition. Keywords
