Abstract
Preview Aggressive nutrition intervention effectively reduces blood lipid levels. High-fiber diets lower serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels about 20%, theoretically reducing risk for coronary artery disease 40%. The authors outline specific principles and counseling strategies for nutrition management of hyperlipidemia. They show a menu-exchange system for home use and provide a sample meal plan. Keywords
