Abstract
Freundlich’s adsorption constants of 17 amino acids from aqueous solutions onto an activated carbon have been determined and correlated with various physical constants. A good linear relationship is obtained between the adsorption constants and such physical constants as the molecular refraction and the parachor. The adsorption isotherms of amino acids can be predicted from the molecular refraction or the parachor alone. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
