Abstract
A very extensive giant-cell tumor of the mastoid in a 5 1/2-yr-old girl is described. This is only the 4th case documented in the English literature. The age of the patient is of great importance, as was the fact that the middle and the inner ear were not involved although the tumor was very extensive. Radical surgical removal of the tumor was performed, as the treatment of choice, without any signs of recurrence 1 yr post-operatively. The diagnostic problems of giant-cell lesions of bones are briefly discussed. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
