Abstract
An ozone-UV water treatment system was constructed and evaluated for quarantine use. Nonindigenous oyster larvae effluent is ozonized in a 1200 liter holding tank to eliminate all pathogenic bacteria. Effluent is exposed for 80 minutes with an average ozone residual of 1.78 mg/liter, after which it is treated with an ultraviolet sanitizer as an added precaution. Keywords
