Abstract
Sa 10-14 years old classified into bright (IQ = 120-150), normal (90-110), and retarded (50-80) groups were monitored for changes in skin conductance level during the performance of 6 complex learning tasks. A significant trend toward increasing conductance across the session was found for the normal and combined groups. Trends within tasks over 6 trials were observed for the combined group on 2 tasks and for several treatment combinations. The relevance of the relationship between intelligence and task difficulty to the interest-conductance level hypothesis is noted. Keywords
