Abstract
Fire experiments were conducted in a semi-full scale room equipped fully with combustibles corresponding to construction materials and other house contents under various air supply conditions. This paper describes toxic index Σ(CilC fi) vs. CO2/CO ratio (C, : the concentration of gas component i, Cfi: its lethal or fatal concentration), volumes of air-diluted gases adjusted to lethal level per unit mass of fuel vs. air supply rate/mass burning rate, a comparison of CO and other toxicants in terms of toxicity, and a comparison of toxicity, oxygen deficiency and heat for potential lethal effects. Keywords
