Abstract
Arteriovenous fistulas are described in 3 patients with neurofibromatosis. One patient presented with hemorrhage and 2 patients presented with spinal cord and nerve root compression. A review of the English-language literature revealed no prior reports of this association. In 2 cases where angiography was not performed, these fistulas were misdiagnosed as solid tumors, causing spinal cord compression; surgery was performed and had to be discontinued when a non-resectable lesion was encountered. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
