Abstract
Land snails in vicinity of Ann Arbor, Michigan, harbored meta-cercarial stages of parasitic trematode, P. laruei, within the pericardial cavity. Metacercariae of 3 distinct age groups have been observed in the pericardial cavity, and all 3 may be present within the same snail. The miracidial stage previously considered non-existent has been observed and work is in progress to determine its morph.
