Antinucleon-nucleon potential

Abstract
A coupled-channels model for antinucleon-nucleon (N¯N) scattering is presented. The N¯N channels are coupled to effective two-particle annihilation channels. The neutron-proton mass difference and the Coulomb interaction are taken exactly into account. This model gives a detailed fit to a set of 977 N¯N scattering data up to Tlab=482 MeV, with an overall χ2data=1.39. The potentials are found to be long-ranged. A discussion of several experimental data sets and of the influence of the Coulomb interaction is given.
