Abstract

Polymerisation of phenylacetylene occurs in the presence of triethylsilane and Rh⁺(cod)BPh₄ ^– to give stereoregular cis-poly(phenylacetylene) with M with combining macron]"> _w of up to 35 000 (M with combining macron]"> _w/M with combining macron]"> _n= 1.7–5.0).
