Preparation of Cationic Complexes [Rh(diolefin)L2]C104and Their Carbonylation Reactions

Abstract
The addition of stoichiometric amounts of triphenylarsine or triphenylstibine to [Rh(diolefin)2]ClO4 or [Rh (diolefin) (Me2CO)x]ClO4 leads to the formation of complexes of the [Rh (diolefin)L2]ClO4 type. Normal pressure carbonylation yields pentacoordinated [Rh (diolefin) (AsPh3)2CO]ClO4 or, respectively, tetracoordinated [Rh (CO)2 (SbPh3)2]ClO4 complexes.
