Abstract
The criteria for clinical diagnosis of syphilis of the lung are reviewed. A case is presented which is believed to satisfy these criteria. Bronchial involvement with stenosis appears to play a prominent role in the pathogenesis of pulmonary syphilis. Bronchoscopy is a useful procedure in suspected cases, both in the evaluation of bronchial involvement, and the exclusion of other disease.
