K¯-nucleus scattering in the isobar-doorway model

Abstract
The isobar-doorway model is formulated for K¯-nucleus scattering. A K¯-nucleus optical potential is derived. Using the closure approximation, binding energies and widths of the Λ(1405) and Λ(1520) in nuclear matter are obtained from K¯-atomic data and elastic scattering.
