Abstract
The cytotoxic effect of tuberculin on lymphocytes from peripheral blood from tuberculin-sensitive guinea-pigs was studied in a system in which mitosis of the lymphocytes was induced in vitro by addition of phytohemagglutinin. Incorporation of tuberculin in a final concentration of 1:25 in culture medium containing phytohemagglutinin did not inhibit the stimulating effect of phytohemagglutinin on mitosis of the lymphocytes. Tuberculin in 1:25 dilution in culture medium without phytohemagglutinin did not stimulate mitosis of lymphocytes from tuberculin sensitive animals. Keywords
