Abstract
After an episode of acute bleeding from esophageal varices, patients are at high risk for recurrent bleeding and death. We compared two treatments to prevent recurrent bleeding — endoscopic ligation and combined medical therapy with nadolol and isosorbide mononitrate.Keywords
