Abstract
An exact solution is obtained for a one-dimensional magnetic lattice gas with a nearest-neighbor Ising interaction. Results for the various thermodynamic functions like pressure, specific heat, magnetization, and susceptibility are given. A salient feature of this study is the occurrence of a double peak in the specific heat over a certain range of densities. Keywords
