Abstract
We show experimentally that under suitable conditions two globally coupled laser modes showing chaotic dynamics can spontaneously synchronize together. Under the synchronization the frequencies of the two modes lock together and the chaotic dynamics of each mode show similarities to those of the single-mode laser. © 1996 The American Physical Society. Keywords
