Abstract

Faradic stimulation of the cephalic half of the dorsal vagus nu-clei of the cat causes contractions in the stomach; although if the organ is hypertonic at the time of stimulation there is inhibition of tone. Stimulation of the left nucleus has a more marked effect than stimulation of the right.
