C-Laser-Excited Langmuir Turbulence in a Dense-Plasma Focus

Abstract
We report on ruby-laser scattering measurements of Langmuir turbulence excited in a high-density plasma by a C laser pump. The observations are reasonably consistent with a new theoretical treatment of the convective electron-ion decay instability at equal electron and ion temperatures.
