Recognizing the Educational Contributions of Field Instructors

Abstract
This paper presents original research findings on the types of rewards and training given to agency field instructors by graduate schools of social work. Discussion addresses why field instructors intially agree to supervise, why they continue to do so, and whay they value most and least from their affiliation with universities. The authors discuss the implications of these findings to the goal of cultivating and holding good field instructors.
