Abstract
Oral or percutaneous admn. of 0.1-0.3 g. daily of 7-ketocholesterol produced atrophy of liver cords, necrotic areas, numerous giant cells, overgrowth of connective tissues and of biliary epithelium, and in 2 instances "hobnail" surface of the liver. An animal which had received 0.3 g. of 7-ketocholesterol daily for 40 days showed a comparatively normal plasma sterol level with only a trace of 7-ketocholesterol.Keywords
