A New Look At Broad-banding

Abstract
A new approach for broad-band matching on arbi- trary load to a resistive generator leads to a simple technique for the design of a lossless 2-port equalizer, The method utilizes real frequency impedance data, bypassing analytic gain-bandwidth theory. Neither the equalizer topology nor the analytic form of the system transfer function are assumed. These result from the design process. Various examples which demonstrate the flexibility of the method are presented. Finally a practical microwave FET amplifier design is given.
