Abstract
Seventy‐eight cases of pilomatricoma are reported. The unexpected findings are new lesions occurring in middle and old age; the lack of association with other diseases; and the large number of lesions located deep in the skin. As contemporary knowledge of the nature of this disorder is advancing, it is suggested that the eponymous title be abandoned. Keywords
