Abstract
Inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, as well as the complications of sinusitis, may present a difficult problem for the physician involved in the care of children. The nose and sinuses of a child differ greatly from those of an adult, both anatomically and developmentally.The maxillary sinus may measure only a few cubic millimeters in the neonate and often does not become clinically important until at least 18 to 24 months of age. The floor of the maxillary sinus is usually at the level of the attachment of the inferior turbinate in the neonate and gradually descends to the level . . .Keywords
