Abstract
While cozymase was without effect on the dehydrogena-tion of xanthine by Schardinger enzyme and methylene blue, the dehydrogenation of acetaldehyde by this enzyme was strongly inhibited by active or inactive cozymase, adenyl pyrophosphate, adenylic acid, and adeno-sine. This inhibition was probably due to a combination of the dehydrogenase with the cozymase or other purine derivative, since reactions activated by cozymase, such as alcoholic fermentation and glycolysis, were inhibited by Schardinger enzyme. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
