Abstract
Continuous low-intensity illumination causes a gradual and continuous reduction of ERG (b-wave) amplitudes to suprathreshold stimuli during 28 days of exposure to light. Absolute threshold, on the other hand, increases after 24 h of illumination but then stabilizes and shows no additional change even after 20 more days of light. Maintenance in total darkness can reverse the deterioration.
