Abstract
The exchange reaction of bromine and radioactive hydrogen bromide in the gas phase has been found to fall just short of reaching equilibrium in two minutes. The very rapid rate of exchange would seem to be accounted for best by a chain reaction involving bromine atoms. Keywords
